Joel's journey of service began on the Central Coast, leading him to the U.S. Naval Academy. For 20 years, he served as a Naval Officer and Navy Pilot, honing the discipline and perspective that he now brings to the Carlsbad community. His dedication to mission-critical excellence define his approach to leadership.
With over 25 years in the aviation industry, Joel currently serves as a 737 Training Captain for a major airline. This extensive career in high-stakes training and safety management informs his commitment to educational standards, ensuring every student has the resources to soar.
